Stiftung Warentest (Germany)

 

Stiftung Warentest

Stiftung Warentest was founded by the German Bundestag in 1964. Stiftung Warentest tests products and services using scientific methods in independent institutes and publishes the findings in their publications. The Stiftung buys products anonymously from retailers and utilises services anonymously. Around 100,000 products have already been subjected to the critical judgement of its testers.

 

 

 

ADAC (Germany)

With more than 18 million active members, the ADAC is the biggest automobile club in Europe and the second-biggest in the world. The ADAC has competently, independently and objectively investigated products, services and infrastructures for all mobile consumers for decades.  The ADAC seal owes its special reputation amongst manufacturers and consumers to the stringent test requirements. In spring 2013, a total of 27 different child seats in all weight classes were investigated for their safety, operation and ergonomics, contaminant content as well as cleaning and finish.

 

 

 

Auto Motor Sport (Germany)

The periodical appeared for the first time back in 1964 under the title “Das Auto”, and is now a specialist automotive magazine with 2.33 million readers, giving it one of the biggest circulations in Europe. TÜV SÜD has also been testing child seats in cooperation with "Auto, Motor und Sport" for 18 years.

 

 

 

ÖAMTC (Austria)

The Österreichischer Automobil-, Motorrad- und Touring Club (the Austrian Automobile, Motorcycle and Touring Club - ÖAMTC for short) is an automobile club, organised as a cross-party, charitable association that undertakes to support and represent mobile individuals. The ÖAMTC had almost 1.9 million members in 2012, making it Austria’s biggest and the world’s seventh-biggest automobile club.

 

 

 

TCS (Switzerland)

The Touring Club Schweiz (TCS) is the biggest automobile club in Switzerland, with over 1.6 million members. The TCS published its first child seat test back in 1968. Its findings are published throughout Europe in collaboration with other automobile clubs. Child seats and other products are still tested at regular intervals and the findings published.

Kind+Jugend Innovation Award (Germany)

The “Kind + Jugend Innovation Award” honors the innovation power of the industry. It is organised by the MesseKoeln in cooperation with BCMI (Baby Care Magazines International - an affiliation of international specialist magazines in the child equipment industry), Luna Magazine, TÜV Rheinland and other experts from the fields of child safety and commerce. The jury is made up of representatives of international specialist magazines for the baby and infant market as well as health and safety experts.
